Dr Hathi’s Death: Dilip Joshi Aka Jetha Lal Says, “I Am Shaken Up”

Team Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is in shock ever since they heard that their beloved member, Kavi Kumar Azaad, who played Dr Hansraj Hathi is no more. The senior actor died after a massive cardiac arrest this morning.
Mr. Bhide aka Mandar Chandwadkar shared his heart-breaking reaction with us. Then, child artistes- Tapu, Gogi, Pinku and Goli-who are fondly called Tapu Sena expressed how heartbroken they are after the sudden demise of ‘Azaad uncle’.

Now, Dilip Joshi, who essays the role of Jetha Lal, has reacted on the news. The actor is currently in London and told us, “It is very, very shocking for me. I am in London for some work and I got a call from the set about this. I am shaken up. I still can’t believe that he is no more with us.”

He added, “Last week, we were shooting together before I left for London. And he was in jolly mood like always. Health wise also he was completely fine. I couldn’t believe that it was my last meeting with him. Will be coming back after a week. He will be missed by all of us. Such a lovely personality he was. May his soul rest in peace and God give strength to his family”.
A while ago, we brought to you Team Taarak and producer Asit Kumarr Modi’s statement which reads:
We are very sad to inform loss of our senior actor Kavi Kumar Azaad. He was playing the character of Dr Hathi in TMKOC. We lost him to a massive cardiac arrest today morning.
"He was an amazing actor and a very positive person. He truly Loved the show and always came for the shoot even if he was not feeling well. He called today morning that he is not well and will not be able to come for shoot. And later we got the news that he passed away. We are all too numb to say anything," says Asit Kumarr Modi, the show’s producer.
The actor was unwell for three days and was rushed to Wockhardt Hospital at Mira Road when he complained of uneasiness. He was declared dead on arrival.
